The Upside Down Merry-Go-Round

It's a crisis situation twenty-four hours a day
Where's my this or where's my that
I didn't do this and I know I didn't do that!
I forgot and OH, I didn't remember
You did this and you did that
It's for me, Do it now
My anger hangs over me like a cloud
I look great, don't you think?
What'd you say? Tell me now!
My head is full, the world swings round
I'm dancing on a Merry-Go-Round
High's and lows, no one knows
Will you love me inspite of my woes?
Get up early, Go to bed late
All these pills I hate to take
Run here, run there
Lay in bed, stare into mid-air
It's not my fault you didn't care
The pain inside I will always bare
I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't
On all these things I'm sure to choke
My life hangs in the stands
Please help me make my plans
And not if-but when I fall
Will someone help me make sense of it all?

House Of Jewels

I sit alone in this house of jewels
Old feathers, lace and things
Placed around each room
All my memories placed on a loom?.
My mind tied up in a thousand rooms
Not many people dare to come here
They simply don't understand nor do they care
What they can't see causes them to be unfair?.
Some say, I'm a dark hair beauty?wasting away
What a pity, what a shame
Hell...they don't even know my name
How dare they? When they can't even play my game?.
So I sit in my house of Jewels
Old feathers, lace and things
And remember that which frequently passes through my mind
This life is for only such a short time?.
Tomorrow I'll awake at sunrise
And see the beauty in the sky
Tomorrow is my birthday
And perhaps Angels will be at my side?.

MISSING YOU

I walked outside and looked up at a full moon,
I know I saw your blues shinning bright
I saw your smile, a smile so true
One I would have walk a thousand miles
If I knew it led to you
It filled my heart with a love so blue
I wanted so much just to touch you
To fill your warmth
To hear your laughter
My dear God, I was missing you
To lay my heart on your chest
Knowing it would give me so much rest
I saw a full moon tonight
And I thought of you
I said a prayer to the Lord above
Forgive us both for this untamned love
He fills my heart with the spirit of a dove
With eyes of blue
And a smile so true
I saw a full moon tonight
And thought of you...

You Would Just Have to be There

There's this place I like to think about
When Im all alone
Where I love to take walks
Just on my own
Tree's so tall they touch the sky with their arms
And flower's cover the valley in all their splendid charm
I've seen bevers, fox and deer
Sometimes they even let me get near
I climb the hills that surround this place
Look out on the valley from atop the cliff's face
And it's the prettiest place I've ever seen
You would just have to see it to know what I mean
I spent so much time on the river
With topwater jigs and big chunks of liver
Found all kinds of snakes in the back yard
Can show you the trees the bears have left scarred
There are cypress stumps out on the pond
Where turtles hang out from dust till dawn
The Bobwhite starts whistling some time around ten
And when he stops, The Whippoorwill begins
I throw some bacon on the skillet when I wake up
The coffee's done made, so I pour me a cup
And I think about life, and how great it would be
To have someone right there to share it with me
That place in the forest, a country dream
You would just have to be there to know what I mean
